@IcelEomering @capcomhazard @AaronBastani Usain Bolt is same height as Haaland and much faster, and he tried to become a professional footballer and failed. Being the fastest man ever to exist didn’t mean anything.

Americans seemingly can’t understand the idea of god-given talent. The two greatest footballers of all time were Maradona and Messi (5’5 and 5’7). Being 6’5 and benching 185kg isn’t going to give you a better centre forward 🤣
Josh Wiesel@Jwiesel13

Christian Pulisic is a prime example of the United States not having its best athletes playing soccer There’s just no way there aren’t guys in the NBA & NFL who wouldn’t be better than him if they would’ve started playing soccer at a young age He’s a wimpy small athlete

@IcelEomering @TitusCEO @AaronBastani LOL haaland is a lethal striker because of his positioning and brain on the pitch it has nothing to do with how tall or strong he is , sorloth in the norway team is tall and strong and hes nowhere near haaland as a striker.

@derJamesJackson Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 did NOT join UK voluntarily. It took England (10x greater population) 200 years to finally win a war of attrition and then annex Wales. Wales, under Owain Glyndŵr, broke free in 1400 and signed treaties with France and the Vatican, but England retook Wales c.1416

@RishiJoeSanu I reckon if he was playing now, he'd be a deep-lying playmaker. Kind of like Fabregas in his Chelsea era.

Beckham was a one-trick pony of the 4-4-2 era. His technique outside of his crosses was atrocious & had no pace or dribbling ability. Easily the most overrated English player of the 2000s golden generation. The GOAT of that era was Rooney, followed by Lampard, Gerrard, etc...
Betsey@Betsycashmoney

So is David Beckham like the GOAT of English soccer, or is he more famous for being handsome & being married to Spice jawn? Can someone explain in NBA terms? As a kid I think I assumed he was way better than he actually was. Is he actually like the Tristan Thompson of soccer?

Anthony is a scouser. The known details of his ancestry including his name suggest Irish and Scottish grandparental heritage, with Scottish roots confirmed on the paternal side. His parents are a classic Merseyside working class footballing family from Kirkdale. There was no significant Irish or Scottish contingent fighting on the English side at Agincourt. Scotland was frequently allied with France during this period Hia family likely have nothing to do with 1415 English soldiers at Agincourt. Tracing a working class Liverpool family line back 600+ years to a specific medieval battle participant is virtually impossible without noble documentation, and none exists here.

i cant shake the feeling that anthony gordon took an arrow for me at agincourt in a past life

@IcelEomering @AaronBastani Yeh but you still need technical ability with the ball. His physicality means nothing if he’s not talented with his feet. There’s plenty of tall, strong strikers playing in lower league football.

Will be pouring a huge bucket on this useless government on my 10-12 UK Live show for allowing thousands of dependents from India, Africa etc to come over when their offspring landed health and care visas. Labour were supposed to have stopped this racket but for every Ghanaian 8 of their family came over and for every Cameroonian ( is that right?) 15 came here. No wonder the country is changing before our very eyes.

Exactly the same team that played against Austria, so Pedro Porro remains as right back We are the best defence of the tournament Lamine has not 100 per cent yet but getting closer Oyarzabal, the Invisible man, up front Rodri was outstanding against Austria Cue the: it was only Austria, you have not played anyone. Etc. Ok, let’s see what we can do against Portugal

@Lben @oscarftc @MsMelChen In mexico "gringa" is not any foreigner, it's specifically someone from the USA. Canadians are not gringos, for example. As others have said though it would've been credible if she had been called "china" bc that one does get any asian/almond eyed person

Flew into Mexico City from DC last night and I’m already clocking the shift in energy. I left my England shirt in the bag for this flight despite wearing it loud and proud on every single one before now without any second thoughts. But here? The Mexico fan vibe isn’t reading as normal rivalry. It’s heavier and meaner. It’s not banter; there’s no playfulness about it. There’s actual aggression in it, and underneath that, something colder and almost unhinged. Walked a few blocks around the hotel in my England shirt this morning and got called “puta gringa” - white whore, basically. The whole atmosphere is steeped in this hostility. Police have shut roads down, running checkpoints, confiscating glass bottles like they’re expecting things to pop off. Riot vibes. I’ve traveled everywhere in this shirt and never once felt this on edge. It feels like it’s more than “just football” at stake here. I hope that I’m reading it all wrong, that it’s just pre-match noise that burns off once the final whistle blows and everyone goes home.
Miss Jo@therealmissjo

This is really very sad. Mexico fans are making a massive noise in the middle of the night outside the hotel where the England team are staying in an attempt to keep them awake at night. I really hope that England thrashes Mexico.

@Brian_TavizonS @oscarftc @MsMelChen No, it 100% doesn't make sense. Mexican racial insults are tailored for each general visual characteristic. Gringo is something almost only used against white, blonde/red hair people. The type of white-skinned people who usually turn red with the heat of the country.

@samikshassotd This is just navel gazing. Enoch Powell and the British public of the 60s wouldn’t have known about goofy terms like ethno nationalism or civ nationalism but they wouldn’t have approved of British cities looking like they do now.

Samiksha's State of the Debate
Just spoke to a bunch of right-wing normies about how they feel about "ethno-nationalism". They were immediately disgusted, and reassured me they weren't Nazis. But, they would vote for Restore Britain and think it's important the English shouldn't be a minority in England.
