@UKGovScotland @kirstyjmcneill @Ryanair Well, not exactly…. it’s made possible primarily by the Scottish Government buying Prestwick about 10 years ago when it faced closure, and turning it into a viable, profitable business (despite ongoing sniping from the Lab\Tories about it).

@STVNews I hope they get zero votes… but they’re currently forecast to come (a distant) second. In which case, for Scotland’s future, there’s one silver lining: Having these arseholes as the official opposition, leading the Unionist case against indy, will crystallise a lot of minds.

@UKGovScotland @D_G_Alexander @forthports We’ll need all this and more when 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is independent and direct ferries/trade with the EU goes through the roof (see post-Brexit Ireland as an example). Obvs the Scottish Govt has been the driving force, but good on the UK Govt for helping to fund it, getting it ready. Nice one!

@STVNews Edinburgh surely has several regional accents… I always think Paul Hegarty has a very distinctively Edinburgh accent, but also eg Morningside, Miss Jean Brodie, the Edinburgh rugby fan/ private school accent and so on.

@JohnCleese Looks like she might have gone beyond just asking them politely, but I don’t know. Personally I’m not a fan of anyone proselytising in public, of any religion. But if eg Jehovah’s witnesses can do it, everyone has the same right. I don’t think speakers should be allowed though.

@pieandbov Take it back to around 85 mins and it’s a whole lot more than that. I think it’s partly having a young team, often lacking in seasoned pros who know how to close out games. But it also has to be a mentality thing more generally.
