PH does use some algorithms for detecting bot activity so if they do detect it your submission is disqualified

@ProductHunt is fake. launched @theantijobboard on PH this morning. within minutes - not hours, minutes - three different people DMed me offering to sell me product of the day. $300. $500. “guaranteed top 5.” very organic. very meritocracy. so i did some digging and apparently this is just… how it works. there’s an entire shadow economy running underneath the leaderboard. guys with upvote networks, mass DM sequences, the whole operation. and they’re not hiding it. they messaged me like it was a perfectly normal invoice. because for them it is. the pitch even came with a client list. YC companies. multiple of them. household names you’d recognise. all apparently very comfortable paying some guy on twitter to cosplay as grassroots community support. so when you see a product of the day badge and nod along like it means something - just know it might have cost someone $500 and a DM at 9am. i’m not paying. launching clean. we’ll see what the algorithm thinks of that. has anyone ever got a paying customer from product hunt?? not a signup. not a free trial. an actual paying customer.
