@MrMac_Math @SuzanneRelou @PaulRodrigo2718 @BeckyHall75 @AddvanceMaths Ok. I am still adding more formulae not in the booklet. Once it is done, I can create a new AASL easily by just removing the extras not needed. Then I will look at AI.

@InteractMaths @SuzanneRelou @PaulRodrigo2718 @BeckyHall75 @AddvanceMaths To me I would think that separate SL seems easier. It’s a very handy tool, thanks for making! My colleague liked it too.

@MrMac_Math @SuzanneRelou @PaulRodrigo2718 @BeckyHall75 @AddvanceMaths Do you think it is more useful for it to be a completely separate page for SL, or to add an option to the HL one to only show SL content? I can never decide which I think is more user friendly.

@SuzanneRelou @MrMac_Math I know the curriculum Review incorporates Maths teachers, I was more meaning the bigger philosophy at the higher levels. I was told that Maths was going to be last subject to go to paperless exams, probably not until 2030.

@MrMac_Math @InteractMaths There are maths teachers involved in DP curriculum review for sure, but I don’t know how that process goes with MYP. There are some big changes happening soon in the DP, going totally non-paper based exams. No word about what’s going to look like for maths.

@MrMac_Math @SuzanneRelou The thing that has always annoyed me about the IB, and is worse in MYP, is there doesn't seem to be any Maths teacher involved in decisions, as so little of the philosophy works for Maths.

@SuzanneRelou @InteractMaths Point is: trendy IB ideas have a real impact a they do get adopted and implemented. It dilutes the maths curriculum. It’s bad ideas, which appear to be validated by an international curriculum. So schools adopt these ideas under the impression that this is what maths must be.

@SuzanneRelou @MrMac_Math Having taught DP for nearly 15 years, I can safely say they need explicit teaching as much as younger students to be successful. I don't know if the philosophy works better in other subjects, but there are so many disconnects with how we know it is best to teach maths.

@MrMac_Math Imagine if we were to approach the DP classes this way?? Whereby we didn’t teach students anything explicitly, rather we expect them to discover everything for themselves?! That would not end well!!

Listening to latest @mrbartonmaths podcast on AI to create lessons. I have been using MathJax for years to create my website, but recently been using Gemini to help code things using MathJax too. It is awesome.

@SuzanneRelou @markbethune Our approach is to essentially use MYP4 to prepare for DP, and then focus on MYP eAssessment in MYP5.

Looking to connect with teachers who feel their MYP programme well prepares students for DP, especially in Maths and sciences. #IBMYP, @InteractMaths @markbethune
