So... just got off the 12 hour Charity Stream. The community managed to put together £20,000 for @TheRockinR Gaming Charity. Time and time again I'm shocked by what the Repair Community can do. I like that the intro immediately starts with something going wrong. That grabs attention and makes the viewer more curious about what might happen in the video. Right after that we get a full disclaimer screen. Viewers usually interpret those as something that just sets a tone and can be skipped, so it doesn’t really help provide context for the video. Because of that, the first 25 seconds aren’t being used to explain what the video is actually about. Those opening seconds should help the viewer buy into the video by giving structural context, establishing a clear goal for the video, or explaining what kind of value the viewer will get. That’s the main purpose of the intro here, and right now it’s not really doing that. You’ve set a tone and shown that unexpected things might happen, which is good, but it’s not enough.

You should be super proud that you did this. It's such an advanced repair, that even people with thousands of hours of experience (including myself) would struggle with. Hats off to you, sometimes you just need a bit of time away from the job to reset, and come back. Then having THAT feeling of success, is EXACTLY why microsoldering and repairs is so addictive. Well done Jay! 👊 We should completely normalize how tough these repairs can be.

I did it! Pin amp variance is actually better than the brand new 5090 TUF I compared it to! Thanks to all the suggestions and most of all Alex at Northridge Fix (I haven't seen his newest video made for me yet) but I've watched countless hours of his videos to learn! I have a video showing my entire workflow on this repair so I'm open to more critiques! But I did it and I'm so freaking happy!

I streamed on Twitch to the same 5 viewers on average for years and years... The first picture is how many hours I streamed (data doesn't go back to 2012 unfortunately!), the second is my average viewership over that same time. I started repairing electronics live on Twitch January 2024 - That's where everything changed... Extremely grateful for everything that's happened so far in my full time Content Creation journey. As much as I'd love to say it's all luck, there's definitely some method to the madness.

Mind blown thing of the day, doing a bit of admin work... Go to my bank account to make a transfer some funds... Notices my entire bank account had been completely removed 😅 Like legit not even visible until I speak to the bank and hand over all my information as to what I want to do with my money and why lol And if I don't give it them I cant access the account! 🤯 What a wild time we live in...
