even if this were accurate (and not delayed buffering or something), doesnt it directly refute the @ryanflo43193 argument that there was some massive vote dump of those 97 votes from 469 to 566 votes all with 10 minutes left? isnt the most natural explanation that X batched and processed those 97 votes some time in the last minutes which leaned something more like 57-40 for Menashi? to quote the West Wing, “this isn’t a statistics convention, it’s an election” so make of it all what you will but the two arguments seem contradictory: one assumes a commanding Lagoa lead that vanished with a shocking reversal with 10 minutes while this photo, at best, suggests a close race with some late-processing votes that leaned ~3% towards Menashi

The Menashi vs. Lagoa race is UNDER REVIEW for a suspicious, last-minute dump of votes.

The stakes are pretty low but I hate bad math Menashi was leading with ~53% at ~11:52 AM with the 566 votes cast, which means he had ~300 votes at that point. If your claim is true that he got 100 votes at 11:50, he would have only had 200 of the preceding 466 votes. If that were right, he'd have been losing in a 57.1-42.9 rout with 10 minutes left. Since it was actually neck and neck, that obviously can't be correct.

i think opening day is so fun because you’re filled with hope and anticipation and then the first player in your starting nine strikes out and you get to go “sell the team” it’s a perfect encapsulation of the spectrum of human emotion

Brigade of Midshipmen, As you have seen in the news, our Joint Force has begun military operations against Iran. For decades, Iran has waged a proxy war against American forces and our partners across the Middle East. The events now unfolding are historic. They are consequential. And they demand serious reflection from all of us. For some of your company mates who have only recently graduated, this is no longer theoretical. It is not a case study. It is not a classroom discussion. It is real. They are likely participating in these operations today, standing watch, flying sorties, leading Sailors and Marines, executing missions on behalf of our great country. They are carrying the weight of decisions that matter. Soon enough, that responsibility will be yours. This moment should sharpen your perspective. Double down professionally, treat every formation, every brief, every watch, and every leadership opportunity as preparation for the day when the stakes are real.
