Had a VERY fun dinner party/group workshopping of my brother’s Hinge profile. We debated prompts & responses, photos, & relative strength of matches, using 2 screens - 1 for photos & 1 for the profile. Big diff bw men’s suggestions (with innuendo) and women’s (anti innuendo).

African American burial grounds across the U.S. have been erased or forgotten, and others are at risk of disappearing. Community organizations in Charleston are working to change that. In the process, they also search for descendants of those buried. nyti.ms/3Je2Hdc

Before barcode passes, I once got on the wrong flight accidentally - I was on the phone and the boarding area had the wrong sign, so 6 people on the plane (incl me) had to deplane. And one of my friends was a stowaway on a plane when he missed his flight and had to get home:)

@rohindhar Lafeyette has always been an expensive area though. I don’t think anyone is looking for affordable housing there or Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Moraga, and/or Orinda.

What happened to me? Nothing. What happened to 1,200+ Israelis? They were murdered, mutilated & raped by terrorists. And a group of privileged, no-nothings on the US far left blamed the victims. This is the history of my ancestors. And that of my children if I don’t speak up. The world has paid no attention that Hamas = ISIS. They don’t call for the release of prisoners. They don’t understand that Israel is the ancestral home of my people for 5,000 years. The world doesn’t get that Israel is a democracy that allows Muslims to serve in govt, courts & military when the same is not true in reverse. Of the 9 million Israelis, > 2 million are not Jewish. That’s what happened. The “rot” is a stain on the mindless people who support terrorists over an imperfect democracy. And I will never be silent about this. To do so would disrespect my parents, my grandparents and every relative of mine who suffered through pogroms to give me the freedoms I enjoy in the United States. I have a blessing. But also the responsibility to speak up. I am not anti Muslim, anti Arab or anti Palestinian. I am pro all of them. I am anti, anti-Semite. And unconsciously the far left always slips into the “blame the Jews” mindset.
