A driver who killed a family of four, including two babies, at a San Francisco bus stop was sentenced to probation. Mary Fong Lau (seen here walking through the courthouse today) dodged jail and prison time. Lau, 80, was speeding when her Mercedes SUV plowed into a West Portal bus stop in 2024, investigators said. A family was waiting to catch the bus for a trip to the zoo. The crash killed Diego Cardoso de Oliveira, his wife, Matilde Pinto, and their two babies. I have no idea whose cat this is, nobody around me seems to know. He is friendly but very thin. The last month he has been waiting at my front door or under a nearby bush/car and follows me when I get home. I’ve taken to feeding him as his bones/ rib cage are showing. Today when I got home after food shopping he ran up to me meowing loudly so I let him in as the weather was pants. After some food, he decided to lie down on my bed. Think I may have been adopted?!

From mom: with a sad and heavy heart, I have to pass along the news that sweet, spicy, Mabel is with us no longer. While the vet was pulling an abscessed tooth, they found a golf ball sized tumor in her jaw. There was nothing they could do for her. (1/3)
