As someone who grew up going to church I can attest to the fact that some “Christians” are the most despicable evil people alive Holier than thou attitudes judging others Cruel and vindictive behavior towards those that aren’t “saved” while they commit sins the same and often far worse than those that are “lost” Endless special offerings taken at the end of services for “missions” after sermons disguised as fundraisers taking advantage of the elderly on fixed incomes The larger the church the bigger the grift Are there good Christian folks out there trying to do good in the world and serve God? Absolutely Are many of them the wolf in sheep’s clothing praying on the weak, vulnerable and easily deceived? Yes

Diaspora ‘communities’ in the USA all have one thing in common. They aim to leverage American GDP, the massive resources of the USA, to achieve goals that don’t benefit Americans at all. Like overthrowing Venezuelan or Cuban governments don’t help the guy in West Virginia. Rich Iranians in LA might want the son of ‘the Shah’ to rule in Tehran - that doesn’t help the guy in Ohio. And some fierce Israeli proponents might want to turn Iran into Libya - doesn’t help the guy in Wyoming, or Arizona, or New Hampshire, or Alabama. The cold reality is the majority of Americans are not front and center in foreign policy decision making. They are just cynically used and manipulated by people who don’t care if they live or die.

The video circulating of a “Christian massacre on Palm Sunday in Nigeria” is actually footage from cult (or gang in Nigerian) violence in a non-Christian area. This lie is equivalent to calling a Saturday night in Chicago a religious massacre. Moreover, Nigeria is actually undergoing a genocide. My Priest speaks about it often. So there is malicious intent within irresponsibly exploiting their suffering in order to frame Catholics as uncaring antisemites, because Israeli police religiously persecuted Cardinal Pizzaballa on Palm Sunday and the world noticed. We will not be punished. We will not be silenced. We will not be subverted. Be careful who you trust on here.

I went to church again today. It was pretty rough.. Not like the service was bad or anything, but being Palm Sunday, there were all these happy families there.. seeing the life I hope to have.. it weighed heavily on me… I know I shouldn’t envy them.. but I guess that’s easier said than done considering the mistakes I’ve made in my life..
