Everything his baby mamas tell me he did to them, he did to me when we were younger. He's hit me in the head with a bat when I was sweeping the sidewalk, pushed me down the stairs, etc. My mother never really did anything in my defense unless it made her look bad in public.
I graduated with a Masters in English with minor in Music, gave up my future to raise my brothers son because I didn't want him to suffer like I did.
But I need to 'let go of the past and forgive him.'

@dalilaalirajah I’m not denying that at all but I would say it’s situational, depending on the school and the racial demographic of the student. I’m saying his point about girls being shown preferential treatment is ridiculous because Black girls also experience the same abuses in schools.

@Lyn_thinks There are tons of stats on how Black young men face more negative attention and disporotuinate punishment than other students. Black students as a whole face more, but I believe the rate is even higher than for Black young girls.
