@CSayf23 Oh I’m not new to college athletics and the NIL era. Comments like Dusty’s only reinforces my stance that “college athletics as we knew it is no longer”.
My belief is that college level sports with NIL and revenue sharing are on par with the professional leagues around the 🌍.

Someone saying this doesn’t change what’s actually been going on. All of these players - at every school - have signed revenue-sharing contracts.
Yaxel Lendeborg could’ve taken more money elsewhere but chose Michigan. As a potential first-team All-American, he’s outperforming what he’s making.

Merrill Kelly had a three-year offer from the Padres, but the tax implications were absurd enough that it made more sense to take the D'backs two-year deal.

So he's wrong but also that 3rd year guarantee would only net him an extra 4.7 million vs the 2 from AZ

Keeping in mind this impacts half the games. So split those #'s.
So his total AZ tax (Just straight #'s no other considerations) would be $315,000 over 2 years. The CA would be 2.1 million.
