And to think I couldn't be more excited about Adrain Morejon, he starts to blow 100 MPH fastballs by batters! He threw more +100 MPH fastballs today (9) than in his entire career (6) !!!

And now, Castellanos makes an excellent diving play to his right at first base to save a hit and probably a run. Between his offense and solid defensive signs at a new position, this has been a very good Spring for Castellanos.

Ty France just hit a homer to left field against Mariners minor leaguer Gunner Mayer. 106 MPH exit velo. 436 ft.

Nick Castellanos just hit a solo homer to left field against Mariners closer Andres Munoz.

A really nice outing for Walker Buehler today, who struck out 7 batters in 5 scoreless innings. He threw 77 pitches, working out of trouble a number of times. Giants went 0-for-5 with RISP. Another potential step for Buehler towards the Padres starting rotation.

This Back Leg Adjustment Got Me to 98 mph. What’s the best way to load into your back leg? When I threw 95, I tried to get as deep and load into my back leg as much as possible. The adjustment that got me to 98 was speeding up the drop into my back leg. I started dropping into that back leg as quickly as possible. The quicker you go down, the higher you can jump. That’s scientifically proven. That’s what we want to emulate in the pitching delivery with the back leg. We want to relax into it. We want to drop into it. By doing that we’re putting force into the ground not only vertically but horizontally as well. So to recap, you’re shifting your weight and then relaxing into your back leg. That’s what creates that burst of energy going forward.

A chance this comes down to Miller vs. Tatis if the DR gets one more baserunner…

Romeo Sanabria hits a two-run double in the 8th to cut the D-backs' lead to 4-3. Sanabria is hitting .333 in Cactus League games with 2 homers, 3 doubles, 11 RBI, and an 1.153 OPS. A player to watch in the minor leagues this year. Very impressive showing this Spring.

Trying to put this dream USA-DR matchup in perspective: The projected lineups have combined for 52 All-Star Games, 32 Silver Sluggers, 11 Gold Gloves and 5 MVPs, all from players in their primes. Of those 18 players, 17 cracked our latest Top 100. Fifteen are among the top 50.

Samad Taylor appeared to injure his lower right leg after pulling a pitch foul in the 6th inning. He was taken out of the game and replaced by Carlos Rodriguez.

Vasquez came back out and pitched a scoreless top of the 5th. 1-2-3 inning.

One of the craziest baseball sequences I’ve ever seen. Tennessee hitter thinks he’s hit go-ahead homer. Slams bat down in celebration. Georgia left fielder robs it. Georgia wins game and celebrates with entire team running to centerfield wall. Wild.

Randy Vasquez was excellent today through 3 scoreless innings. He ran into some bad luck in the 4th. An error in right field, a broken bat blooper, a ball that hit off the wall and rolled away. Vasquez has allowed 4 runs in the 4th, before being removed at 62 pitches.
