I have a feeling the camera is the real culprit here. People suddenly turn into ‘edge lords’ when there’s an audience to impress. Mocking a body donor doesn’t make them look fearless it makes them look apathetic morons. A cadaver gave them the privilege of learning anatomy. The least they can offer in return is respect. Today it’s a cadaver. Tomorrow it’s a patient. #MedX

@venom1s Here is another video of med students talking disrespectfully about those who donated themselves for science and this is even worse than Sejal. I think there is this disrespectful culture in medical colleges which should be called out.

I still remember words by my HOD sir - Always respect cadavers. They are your first teachers . Dissection hall is the only place where dead teaches the living . Be thankful to the family who took this decision for you. This is very shameful . No apology. Just Rusticate them

This is what a lady who writes mother and wife in her bio, speaks about Atul Subhash. No empathy. It’s one thing hating men. It’s another thing completely losing your humanity.
Prapti@ewcaliptias

@GeneralVikram @the_psyche_lab Did anybody force him to off himself. He did it in a premeditated way for his own perceived benefit. He could have just gone off the grid. Disappear. Nothing would have happened

She uploaded an apology video, people will forgive her, and soon everyone will move on. We all know the reason. I'm not defending the man who said those disgusting things, but if a person can lose their job simply because they're a man while similar behavior from a woman is excused, then we have a serious double-standard problem.

Absolutely Her public apology is not for the remarks she made Or not for the action she did Or not for the wrongs she is doing She apologized that she said it in public and social media And she will never say that again But she haven't acknowledged that she did miserably wrong thing as a doctor!! Her degree needs to be revoked!

This girl is apparently a doctor, yet she is publicly mocking a cadaver. A cadaver is not a prop, or an object for cheap humour. It is a human being who chose to donate their body for medical education and scientific advancement after death. When students enter medical college and step into the dissection hall, they take a cadaveric oath, a solemn pledge that serves as a tribute to body donors. The cadaver is regarded as the student's "first teacher" to foster empathy, ethics, gratitude, and respect for human dignity. During my first year of MBBS, our cadaver was a retired Brigadier. We treated him with dignity because we understood that we were learning from a person who had made a conscious, and rare in Indian society, decision for the benefit of future patients and future doctors. Mocking a cadaver and making lewd remarks about the body's private parts is not edgy, funny, or bold. It reflects a complete failure to understand one of the most basic ethical principles taught in medicine: respect for human dignity, even after death. It may or may not attract liability under the BNS, but it is unquestionably conduct that falls far below the ethical standards expected of a medical professional. The @NMC_IND should take cognizance of this matter and ensure that such behaviour has consequences. There was also a boy on the same show who made derogatory remarks about a girl who was apparently his date, and he is rightly facing the consequences of his actions. This girl should be held to the same standard.

@theskindoctor13 The issue isn't whether it was a joke..The issue is whether some things should never become jokes. And If disrespect is unacceptable in one case, it should be unacceptable in every case.

So if a male doctor had said the same thing about a female cadaver's body on a comedy show would an apology video be enough? we all know the answer. double standards don't disappear just because the internet moves fast. Sorry doesn't equal accountability.

I always find it funny when chicks online go on and on about how they like nerdy guys, but the second they date a nerdy guy, they want to remove all the nerdy parts from him! Clearly, you're not into nerdy guys. You're just chasing a trend and trying to gaslight guys so more will chase you and throw money at you.
