One of the best things about the @ohioctm conference is finding things that I can immediately do in my classroom. I learned of the “paper bag quiz” from the hilarious and fun @GollihueJeani during her session, and it has gone so well today!

As a class we come up with definitions/examples for each set in our graphic organizer, then each student draws a strip of paper. They tear off a number and place it in the appropriate bag(s), keeping any extra numbers for themselves. I can then model how they all relate.

So grateful to work in a district that is willing to send me to present at @ohioctm 2023. We talked about the needs of our math students, how we approach addressing them, and had a few moments of self reflection! #RoarOCTM23 @WLS4Kids @ohioctm

Prior to teaching, I was a server in many different restaurants. The best part of being a server? THE APRON. y’all! The functionality. The flexibility. And also kind of the style.

Y’all…. My life is exponentially better

I feel I can’t wear an apron even though I know it would solve all my problems. I thought about a Fanny pack, but I don’t want to unzip it 1000 times a day. THUS!!!! This was ordered and arrived today!!! Stay tuned for my full teaching review tomorrow.
