I don't think anyone knows what a catch is anymore. The NFL has changed the rules of what a catch is so many times over the years, and depending on the umpire crew they never call it the same way.
He caught the ball, hit the ground, and the defender took the ball away. Not sure if he controlled the ball after he caught it and hit the ground.

How are smart people not able to understand that you have to survive the ground? This is such a basic part of the rule. Cooks does not survive the ground with possession.

Salvador Perez has a knee sprain & inflammation. Royals training staff says results from an MRI today were very favorable. He’s getting treatment today. Of course he lobbied to play. Considered day to day. Expected back in lineup either tomorrow or next week after the offday
