Israel is not like Ukraine. It's biggest threat is poorly armed insurgents and it has its own robust arms industry that its opponents cannot hope to damage. They do not need US help.

As a European, I am not afraid that the USA will leave NATO. We already know that they do not have good intentions to Europe and that we, therefore, have to build our defence to be able to fight without the Americans. We are well on our way and it will happen a lot faster if the USA leaves NATO officially. Russia is too weak and small to be a long term threat to Europe. They simple can not match what we can produce. As long as we keep Ukraine from falling, Russia is also not a threat to us in the short term. So if the USA leaves NATO, it is simple for us: Keep Ukraine from falling at all costs and build up European defence and weapon production as fast as humanly possible. We can and we will do that and Europe will be absolutely fine and safe.

The USA bailed Europe out of Two world wars, Rebuilt Europe under the Marshall Plan, and Armed Ukraine against Russia and Europe won't even let America use a military base when we need it. What is America getting out of NATO? Completely onesided.

Все-таки левые СМИ - большое зло. Разучили людей мыслить комплексно. Мало кто понимает, что война с Ираном и война с Путиным - это не 2 разных войны, а одно целое. Технологически, экономически, стратегически, информационно. По сути, это война Запада с Китайскими прокси. А лидеры ЕС не просто "не любят Трампа", а вообще не хотят вступать в эту войну, хотят пересидеть. СМИ подают дело так, будто "Трамп рушит альянсы", но нет, он пытается форсить западные альянсы, а левачьё предаёт, и не бездеятельно: нефть у Путина продолжает покупаться, с Ираном не только не помогли, но и вредят, закрывая воздушное пространство. До этого ныли, мол, Трамп порезал дотации Украине (ага, чтобы вы, мудаки, начали всерьёз впрягаться), а сейчас, когда США вступили в войну всей мощью флота, крысятничают и накачивают народ трампофобией в оправдание своего предательства. План Трампа очевиден: обрубить щупальца Спрута, начиная с мелких (китайские инсталляции в Панаме и Венесуэле), установить контроль Запада над нефтью, уронить цены, экономически удушить Путина и загнать Китай под шконку, вернув военное и экономическое доминирование Запада над планетой. Но этому плану, видимо, не суждено сбыться. Не хотят левые деколонизаторы доминировать. Не хотят за рыжим Диоклетианом, хотят стать Тенью и спокойно доживать век в борьбе с фейковым потеплением, хейтспичами и криптой. Но дожить спокойно им не дадут, конечно. Хищники не спят, выращивают юную поросль джихадистов и штурмовиков, готовят своё возмездие. Если и когда Израиль и Украина падут, США уйдут за море, старушке Европе настанет быстрый и бесславный конец...

Let’s be real here. Europe has spent decades freeloading on American security. Even now, with every NATO member finally hitting the 2% GDP target in 2025. But beyond the financial contributions, the real rupture is philosophical and the Iran crisis has shown a spotlight on it. Europe worships process. Endless committees, consultations, and “predictability.” Macron actually calls it a virtue. For Trump, this is paralysis as his style is to articulate a threat, fix a target, and act. The Americans are men of conviction and purpose. Europe on the other hand lives by bureaucratic liturgy and in high-minded abstractions. Sure, Americans might make mistakes when acting. But Europe never considers what the costs of not acting actually are. Just look at how their nations are doing on various fronts, especially on the border crisis, and you see the same cancerous rot that undergirds their foreign policy approach play out domestically. It's the same problem on a different scale. Iran is currently holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage, choking 20% of global oil and spiking prices past $100 a barrel. Meanwhile, the regime is bleeding from strikes, its nuclear ambitions are still alive despite degraded capability, and its proxies are firing missiles at allies and oil tankers. If this isn’t a clear and present danger to the global economy - of which Europe is a part - then I don’t know what is. Yet when Washington asked to use European bases to finish the job - bases the US has defended for generations, the response was hesitation and hand-wringing. The US did strike from RAF Fairford, but only after warnings that British soil could become a “legitimate target.” If you cannot agree that a theocratic regime with eschatological ambitions who have shown no restraint in hitting out at Gulf countries and threatening the world’s energy jugular is an enemy worth confronting, then what, exactly, are we allies about? Europe loves to preen about being tough on Russia. They issue condemnations and speeches and slap sanctions that hardly work to cripple the Russian economy. Now here was a chance to do something concrete: let the Americans use the bases they already pay for, help clear the Strait, and actually degrade the Iranian war machine that arms Moscow’s proxies. Turmp didn’t ask for boots on the ground or any kind of more offensive action. All he wanted was permission to operate from the infrastructure America has underwritten for decades. They couldn’t even manage that. So can you blame the Americans for seeing NATO for what it is? A paper-tiger alliance that expects Washington to bleed and pay while Brussels and London convenes and deliberates. If Europe refuses to treat Iran as the threat it is while happily letting American power keep the Strait open and the lights on, then the alliance is already dead. Trump is simply stating the obvious and the Americans are becoming very reluctant to subsidize the European delusion any longer.

NATO’s 31 members will ‘have to reexamine’ whether they can still afford to have the USA as a partner. Let’s be honest about what is happening. The United States, under Trump, is actively supporting Russia. Blocking weapons to Ukraine. Pushing for a peace deal that rewards Moscow. Calling Putin a partner. Washington’s National Security Strategy no longer even identifies Russia as a threat. Russia is the only reason NATO exists. It has always been the only reason. And Washington is now on Russia’s side. So the question is not whether NATO can survive without America. The question is whether NATO can survive with it. And America has already started leaving. Rubio skipped the NATO foreign ministers meeting in December. Hegseth skipped the defense ministers meeting in February. Two top-level meetings in a row. It is rare for a US administration to miss even one.  They are not forgetting to show up. They are choosing not to. NATO noticed. NATO kept meeting. NATO kept working. Macron said it anyway. “No intimidation or threat will influence us, neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world.”  Sweden’s Prime Minister was blunter. “We will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed.” Good. Because NATO does not need permission. Thirty-one nations. Nearly a billion people. The world’s largest collective economy. NATO militaries hardened by four years of watching Russia bleed itself dry on NATO’s eastern doorstep. And here is what Today it is not the Russia of 2022. That Russia is gone. Ukraine shot it to pieces. Up to two million men lost. Elite units wiped out entirely. Equipment inventories so depleted that Russian forces are pulling tanks from Soviet-era storage and patching them together with parts that belong in museums. The most combat-capable military in NATO’s history is now facing the most degraded Russian army since the Second World War. NATO knows the enemy. It has watched it die in real time. America’s own Secretary of State called NATO allies “cowards” and the alliance a “paper tiger.”  This from a country that just spent a month bombing Iran and achieved nothing. A country with a $39 trillion debt, a democracy rated below Mexico by international observers, and a president whose first instinct after re-election was to call Vladimir Putin. Now look west from Washington. The Pacific. China. No NATO. No thirty-one allies who have trained together for 75 years, shared intelligence, and stood on the same walls. Just two oceans and a government that just told its only friends to go to hell. America without NATO is not a superpower. @DastDn Europe has air forces comparable to the United States, and the Ukrainian army is at a level better than anything the U.S. has on the ground. There is no issue in defending themselves if you are ready to take action.

1. Europe is not ready to defend itself from Russia. Whether they have the will aside, they have not yet armed themselves. 2. US has not been defending Europe since WW2 just due to brotherly love. We've done so to deny an adversary hegemony over one of world's wealthiest regions

Якщо він хоче це зробити, і якщо інші країни хочуть це зробити, це мене не дуже турбує. Це не матиме впливу. З Кубою покінчено, у них поганий режим, у них дуже погане і корумповане керівництво, і те, отримають вони корабель нафти чи ні, не матиме значення. Я б волів дозволити це, чи то росії, чи комусь іншому, тому що людям потрібне тепло, охолодження та всі інші речі, які необхідні.

Europe currently has two Coalitions of the Willing - one for Ukraine and the other for the Strait of Hormuz. Both are inactive until Putin or Trump rage quit the game.

Не было бы счастья, да несчастье помогло. Зеленский подписал с СА и вроде с другими странами Залива рамочное соглашение о сотрудничестве в оборонной сфере. Украина реальный бенефициар войны в Иране. Интересы Израиля и Украины стратегически совпадают, как бы их не разводил real politics. Украина имеет лучший в мире опыт Дроновой войны, у нее производство, под стать Китаю, видимо

Зеленский поехал в страны Персидского залива — и сами эти сделки понятны. Непонятно другое: зачем он так быстро и так много это комментирует, да еще и дразнит Трампа. Да, Трамп странный, мнительный и болезненно реагирует на подобные вещи. Но он все-таки президент. И есть как минимум два момента, которые будут его раздражать. Первый: украинская война показала, что у Америки не самое лучшее оружие и не самая лучшая армия, а украинцы кое-что умеют сами. Трамп этого слышать не хочет. И незачем лишний раз напоминать богатой тетушке о бородавке на носу. Второй: контроль цен ОПЕК во многом держится на том, что страны Персидского залива охраняются Соединенными Штатами. А теперь выясняется, что США не очень-то могут их защитить, а Украина делает это эффективнее, чем великие Соединенные Штаты. И это не шутка. Украина, как и Россия, за эти годы наработала, наверное, самые сильные методы борьбы с малыми воздушными целями. Просто потому, что они этим занимаются уже четыре года. Вопрос простой: зачем еще раз тянуть Трампа за усы?
