Peter Pan is based on the Greco-Roman god of the wilderness, Pan. Today, Pan is not widely understood outside of esoteric knowledge, but he is directly connected to the resurrection myth and eternal life. Pan is the god of shepherds, much like the shepherd Saint Peter, and the name Peter Pan is a combination of both. The region of Caesarea Philippi in Israel, associated with Saint Peter’s confession of Jesus as the Christ (Matthew 16:13–20), was historically a center of worship for the god Pan. In fact, the site contains the Cave of Pan, a grotto where ancient Greeks and Romans venerated Pan as a nature god, with temples dedicated to him. Peter Pan takes Wendy to Neverland, a heavenly-like place where you never get old, symbolizing the afterlife and heaven. (Saint Peter holds the key to heaven). Peter sees Wendy as a motherly figure, which is directly connected to resurrection myths related to Osiris, Isis, and Horus. The god Pan is connected to Dionysus, and Dionysus is the Greek version of Osiris. In fact, Wendy represents the motherly divine feminine energy, just like Isis, Hathor, and Nephthys, who are the mother, wife, and sister of Osiris/Horus (Horus is the enlightened, reborn version of Osiris). That’s why Peter Pan and Wendy have a platonic relationship. This symbolizes the divine internal marriage between the divine feminine and masculine energies. The spirit represents the feminine energy, and the life force represents the masculine energy. The life force lifts the spirit to heaven, just like Peter Pan takes Wendy to Neverland. This is a story of enlightenment and the pursuit of the immortal spirit. Peter Pan represents the pure, immortal heart, dressed in green, just like Osiris or the green color of the Anahata chakra (the heart chakra) and the Sefirot Tiferet. Meanwhile, Captain Hook represents the unenlightened, corrupted heart, dressed in red, associated with the god Set and the Sefirot of Severity. He is jealous, greedy, and corrupted. That’s why Hook is chased by the crocodile Tick-Tock who represents time, or the time where the mortal man needs to purify his heart before it’s too late. Notice the feather on Peter Pan’s head. In ancient Egypt, after physical death, the part of the soul that represents the heart is measured against the feather of Ma’at. If the heart is heavier, it will be devoured by Ammit, 'The Devourer of the Dead' or the 'Eater of Hearts,' who is represented with the head of a crocodile. At the end of the tale of Peter Pan, Captain Hook, due to his stubbornness, ends up in the mouth of the crocodile. This is the short version; I’ve skipped much of the esoteric symbolism from this tale, but let’s see if you can point that out. We’ve been fed these esoteric tales, but they never revealed the true meaning, and now I understand why...
