Our relationship with the dead/our ancestors is so infected with fear it is almost entirely broken.
The dead are the collective unconscious/God. Yet most of us are terrified of the deceased, asking God to protect us from them.
Or better yet, religious institutions that exist to create a middleman between ourselves and God.
So we are either asking God to protect us from God, or we are asking other humans to protect us from God for a price/tithe.
I see how comically screwed up this is, but translating it for peeps that have never questioned their programming is hard!!

I have not forgotten Seth.
He was a young and brave hero who believed he could make a difference. His murder will be exposed. Every player involved in it will. Justice has been delayed, but cannot be stopped.
When the timing is perfect, Julian will speak.

JUST IN: More stonewalling from every branch of government on the Seth Rich case. The judiciary has failed. @FBIDirectorKash et al & every organ of the executive branch has failed (so far). @Ty_Clevenger soldiers on.

@HopeBarbaraAnne Holy crap! I just looked it up!!
Medicaid would get charged a min of $250.00 a month for this one drug.

English

@MercyMacabre I'm sorry. I had hope this would be so helpful for you. I don't blame you for refusing. Mine knows better than to argue with me over statins and vaccines. I do worry they'll drop me as a patient at times.
English

It's gonna be months before I can get seen at the GI clinic.
I'll have to dodge the primary care doc for a while, if not quit her altogether. She's gonna be pissed I'm not taking the meds she tried to bully me into. I have no intention of arguing about what goes in my body, so we are at an impasse.
Things are spicy.

I had my hopes up a little at first, but this is not my first rodeo. I can go somewhere else if need be, but all of them are like this. At least the ones who take Medicaid sure seem to be. Pharma kickbacks are probably how they make the 'charity' lucrative.
Ozempic is WILDLY expensive. My fasting sugar level being as insanely high as it is is the only reason I would ever be approved for it.
But aside from the scary risks, it would run up my bill so high that a recommendation for surgery later might get rejected. Medicaid only allows for so much money a year.

@MercyMacabre Every now and then (actually quite frequently in my current life phase) something like this gives me a feeling of "oh THIS is the big secret of how you're supposed to do life" which is a bit suspicious tbf (like not all these insights can be The Pearl Of Great Price)

@Vet_X0 "MOTHMAN STOLE MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER IN POINT PLEASANT, W.V."
I don't think it means anything. The shirt was a gift from my daughter and I think it's just meant to be bizarre.

COINTELPRO: FBI psyops against U.S. citizens from 1956-1971. Targeted MLK, Black Panthers, activists.
It was only exposed because someone broke in and stole the files.

@peakexperiments There are sensations that are harder to dissociate from than others. 😅
But in general, this is a powerful stance to take whenever possible.

@ShelbyW02649619 I would give both eye teeth for a doc like that. She's one in a millionty!

@HopeBarbaraAnne @arts_fantastic That is so deliciously weird.😂

Very strange dream this morning, with one part of it having a bizarre connection to a dream Rog was having.
@arts_fantastic
I dreamed you were entering a novitiate. what's odd of course is that it was Catholic, and I just couldn't see that for you, but it was a part of a path you'd planned for your own reasons. And, you were very happy about it. I was sad because on the day of your formal entrance, I overslept and was going to miss saying good bye to you since you would be cloistered and without visitors for the 1st 40 days. I just knew you were going to be heartbreakingly, radiantly beautiful in your habit and veil. I got there just before the door closed. But you were there, not fully robed yet but your hair was much shorter. You beckonded me to come and we hugged each other very tightly, very long... a full body hug. We were both crying and there was a lot of energy exchanged... and I knew you were healing me. I whispered how much I loved you, and you said it back. Then, you were gone. I went back home, thinking to grab another hour of sleep because it was 4 am. As I went to lay down, I saw that my bed was actually the ground with a sheet, pillow and blanket. I laughed as I remembered the conversation we had about sleeping in the grass. I thought, how silly of me when it's how I've been sleeping all along. Then, for some reason I was with Prince Charles and a woman who looked vaguely like the late Queen. I got the impression they were impersonators at first, but as it progrressed, it seemed they were real, but the woman who looked like the late Queen "shifted" her appearance to look like someone else. We went to my car and suddenly Charles pushed into the driver's seat and there were 3 people jammed in front until the "Queen" got in the back seat. I gave him directions to my condo but woke up before we got there. How did this mesh with Rog? At the same time I, the American, was dreaming about the current English monarch, Rog, the Brit, was dreaming about Donald Trump, the current US president. What are the odds???

@HopeBarbaraAnne I love that song! 'Hazy Shade of Winter' is among Paul Simon's best! Such a Mood!

@MercyMacabre I've never read A Brave New World, but have the other two. Might need to add to my ever growing list. 🎶Time, time, time... see what's be come of <us>
English

Rereading "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley.
As superficial as our society seems at times, we do not seem to be drifting into this dystopian model.
I think we were closer to it in the 90s with vapid hookup mentality and the ubiquitous consumption of alcohol and X and antidepressants. There isn't really a 'Soma' now that people are turning on all those chemicals. Disregard for the family unit was stronger then too. We haven't been leaning into eugenics or caste systems either. The wealth gap doesn't count as that in my mind. The social recoil from the Duggars and their '19 kids and counting' abuse circus' is a pretty good example of why we aren't going to batches of hundreds of identical humans any time soon. 😅 Though I think there HAS been a multigenerational effort to engineer a substandard worker class through mediocre education and widespread poisons.
We seem to be leaning more to Orwell's "1984 with a touch of Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" thrown in. Use of the media to 'manufacture consent' of the public based on outright lies, and the public's disdain for reading, seeming to prefer wildly inaccurate adaptations that miss the point made by the books entirely...
Maybe I will reread the whole trifecta back-to-back. To compare and contrast.

English

Dystopian fiction is amazing for pointing out the things needing to be transmuted in the collective shadow.
And those things can always be flipped from the macro to the micro and turned into personal shadow work, but that is less fun, so I phase back and forth.
I highly recommend BNW.
It is good brain food even where it is not a mirror.
