@buctootim Claro, habría que leer un poco de historia argentina ! No todo es color de rosas, pero los términos utilizados no remiten a procesos históricos americanos. A lo sumo, a proceso euro-británicos, no nos confundamos… lo que armaron conflictos en el mundo fueron ustedes.

What it shows is that vessels operated under Argentine authority at the time.
That’s part of a broader historical pattern of administration before 1833 (which is exactly why there’s a dispute today).

@Zoot_Lord The UK abandoned its settlement in Puerto de la Cruzada in 1774 for economic reasons. From 1774 to 1833, British people weren’t there.
Moreover, the Malvinas maritime space is part of Argentina’s maritime space. Our claim is founded on historic and territorial arguments.

@MerloDieg A settlement created in the 1820’s with the sole purpose to strengthen Argentine claims which at that point was legally British. Also only the governor was removed from his position the settlers were allowed to stay.

Before 1833, there was an designated government by Buenos Aires, with an Argentinian population.

I’m a lefty anti-imperialist, but Argentina is wrong on the Falklands The islands have never had an Argentinian population. Falklanders predate Argentina, and 99% voted to stay British This isn’t a colonial issue. It’s used by ARG's far right to distract from domestic problems.
