🇰🇪 Cornelius Kibet Kiplagat has a 2:04:54 marathon PB from his runner-up finish at the Barcelona Marathon back in March. He also just finished 15th at the Sydney Marathon in 2:12:09.
According to this report by the AIU, he heard other runners say EPO/CERA reduces lactic acid.
July 27, 2025: He paid a bus conductor to purchase the drugs for him from any pharmacist or chemist in Eldoret. The bus conductor dropped off the EPO and CERA he purchased for Kiplagat at a roadside vendor. Per the report, Kiplagat claims he did not know the bus conductor or the pharmacy that he visited to buy EPO and CERA. He also didn't get a receipt for his purchase.
Same day: He injected himself in the hip/thigh without reading labels. He told investigators that he wasn't injured and was seeking a performance boost.
July 29th, 2025: He gets tested in Kaptagat. Later tests positive for EPO and CERA.

Norris is now behind only Shelby Houlihan (14:23.92) and OAC teammate Alicia Monson’s 14:19.45 American record in the event.

Manchester United have invited a world-renowned track and field coach into the club as a consultant to offer his insight on athletics, including the mechanics of running. Harry Marra, 78, has been present at Carrington to lend his expertise to staff, partly on the best way to cover ground with speed and endurance, due to the emphasis for high intensity in Ruben Amorim’s system. The arrangement, on a consultancy basis, has been instigated by United executives in line with head coach Amorim. Marra has been chosen due to his record in elite sport. A frustrated Jerry Jones had some comments about the sun impacting play at AT&T Stadium: “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium.” Why not put up curtains over the windows? Jerry: “Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me? “Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues. “I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

No standards or rankings, just first three. It's the best meet in the world outside of the Olympics/worlds.
