Monthly Production: • Petrol: 168,000 MT • Diesel: 403,000 MT Monthly Consumption in Assam: • Petrol: 63,000 MT • Diesel: 92,000 MT This means a comfortable monthly surplus of 105,000 MT petrol and 311,000 MT diesel — far more than what the state needs. There is no shortage of petrol or diesel in Assam. The temporary queues at some pumps are only due to panic buying triggered by unfounded social media rumours linked to Middle East tensions. The Government of India has also confirmed that the country has over 60 days of fuel reserves, with refineries operating at full capacity and no disruption in supply. Let us stay calm, avoid panic buying, and not hoard fuel in unsafe containers. This helps keep the supply smooth for everyone. #JaiHind
