Was sad to hear about @MrFingerbobs passing. Some years ago, having started chatting to him about Alasdair Gray I sent him a copy of a graphic novel @gilliansteel2 was working on. When he got it he sent back this hand drawn little scene!

Hi everyone … this is Valerie Rick’s wife again. I have just written a letter to the editor of the Times regarding the so-called obituary for Rick…. I have heard nothing but love for the days since his death and they have published the most inappropriate obit ever .

This is Valerie, Rick's wife. He particularly asked me to make sure that his Twitter friends were informed about his illness and his passing. His esophageal cancer metastasized and spread quickly. He died at home in my arms with his daughters close by. My heart is breaking.

Valerie again. i am going to keep this page open for people to express their feeling about Rick. I would love to know about the friends he made here. We had over 40 beautiful years together, and he was a light in so many people's lives..

Valerie again. We were working on a cd project in the months before his death, and it was finished the day before he died. Very special, very beautiful. A very very special man.
