AHRC condemns and rejects the newly signed and circulated “Criminal Procedure of Courts” and calls upon the UN and the international community to take urgent measures to prevent the Taliban from eroding and ultimately erasing Afghanistan’s progress in the judiciary.

The Afghanistan Human Rights Center (AHRC) strongly condemns the recent airstrikes conducted by Pakistan inside Afghan territory, including in and around Kabul, which have resulted in civilian casualties and destruction of civilian property.

The #AHRC expresses deep concern over the increasing cases of forced #displacement and unlawful expropriation of private properties and condemns these actions.Over the past four years, the Taliban have unjustly and forcibly expropriated lands and homes in several provinces..

Since Wednesday of last week (July 16, 2025), the Taliban have launched a new wave of arbitrary and extrajudicial arrests targeting women and young girls in Kabul. These arrests began in the Shahr-e Naw area of Kabul and later expanded to various other parts of the city.
