It should be worth noting that in seven head-to-head matchups with these players, Nick Boyd was the higher scorer in six of the games.
Other than Wagler's 34 points in Champaign vs UW and Smith at the Kohl Center, one could argue Boyd was the best player on the floor those games

Probably in the minority here, but overpaying for a HS RB when you have so many other positions of need doesn't make sense to me.
What does make sense is investing in the portal at the positions Fickell mentioned today - QB, OL, DL, EDGE. Will they & will guys want to be here?🤷♂️

Wisconsin posted 22 straight winning seasons from 2002-2023. But the Badgers are 7-11 the last 2 years under Luke Fickell.
So what happened? A lot factors in, but the place to start is obvious -- quarterback.

He also let a lot of his offensive line depth walk out the door after the 2023 season. He has failed miserably in the portal. QB Injuries predate fickell. 2020-2022 were bad too.
