Claiming we shouldn't mine oil and gas in the UK because we won't be self sufficient is like suggesting we shouldn't produce any food because we won't be able to grow enough and would still need to import some. There are 5.7 million businesses in the UK and after five months of reflection, the Government only wants to help just 0.18% with the ruinously high energy prices caused by Net Zero. The only way to cut energy costs properly is to scrap Net Stupid Zero. This will lower bills for every business, not just a select few. But Labour’s obsession with it is killing jobs, destroying growth and making us poorer.

I went to school in the 1960s and early 70s. Just an ordinary secondary modern. Mum used to scrimp and scrape to get the money for school uniform from the only school uniform shop in Croydon. It cost hundreds. Even back then. Nowadays school uniform is available everywhere and it's so cheap. Parents have never had it as easy as they do now. And all they do is moan. 🙄
