@CordedKemite @Narmer_X You have to ask yourself if Ramses wasn't black then why are his statues (especially at Abu Simbel) so negroid in appearance? Either that mummy isn't Ramses (which I don't agree with) or people as they age and get mummified don't look like they did in their youth.

@CordedKemite Ramses died at over 90 years old. If you anything about the aging process you know nobody looks the same at 90 as they did in their 20s. With black people especially when they age their hair loses its curl pattern similar to how as children it can look straight.

@ArabHorner You didn't mention tribal identity in your original post. You said race. And race isn't about just one side of your genetic history. Its about both sides. So whoever those Arabs were that came into Somalia and mixed with the local women, they didn't look like present day Somalis.

@Naimaintaipei I agree. I'm just trying to explain our usage of the word. It doesn't apply to 4a or even 4b hair. Its more applied to maybe the coarsest type 4c hair. Most Somalis are have 4a hair so they appreciate that texture over the more kinky textures. Its stupid but it is what it is.

@Nificent86 @Haj590 Well that’s not completely true. Most egyptians today are Haplogroup E, most do descend from the ancients. But they also have significant non egyptian admixture, which is what causes the difference in appearance and skin tone.
