Egyptians were dark skinned Eurasians with somewhat substantial negro blood while Nubians just had the typical Nilotic-Eurasian mix of any East African human group. Modern Nubians are prolly more Eurasian shifted than their primal ancestors.

@KaramaSeal I think Sai’dis are the closest genetically to dynastic lower Egyptians. And Aswani Egyptians being closer to dynastic upper Egyptians, strictly from a genetic standpoint not a cultural or tribal one.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with Khem but he's 100% right. The only thing I'd add is that it was mostly the Upper Ancient Egyptians that were physically very close to modern day Nubians. Lower Egyptians on the other hand were closer to Mediterranean and Levantine populations.
