Its passage in 1868, made it unconstitutional to deny citizenship to all children born here. Example: Despite odious attempts over the years to deny them, all Native Americans are (the original) citizens. So are all other babies who in Bruce Springsteen’s words were “Born in the USA.”

I’m starting to track these stories. We’re seeing a swell in male college athletes taking their lives either during or right after college. There’s a direct correlation between these suicides and an early life of youth/travel sports. 20s is when the damage shows.

Entry level unemployment just hit 13%. Mortgage rates above 7%. This is a generation being locked out of every door at the same time. No job to start. No house to buy. No savings to build. And the generation before them telling them to work harder.

Are fucking kidding ? Mortgage rates just above 7% but in 1992 is over 8% ENTRY level — note, not overall employment is 13%— ? That’s the rate for people 16 to 19 years old . In 1992 that entry unemployment rate was over 21% . The current unemployment rate overall is 4.3 That’s better than Gen X had coming into the work force when it was 7.8% Stop you bitching .
