Reporter: "Is it true that Messi doesn't care about the number?"
🚨🗣️ Rodrigo de Paul: "I swear to you he doesn't care, he doesn't care about it AT ALL."
"Sometimes we're in the room drinking mate and we tell him: 'Pay attention, you've got one or two goals left for this record...'"
"But I swear to you he doesn't even know about these things, I don't know how it happens, but really, Messi doesn't care about these things."

I have something similar to this. My neighbor downstairs won the USA lottery and went with his first daughter and two youngest sons, aged 6 and 10. This was December 1996.
By 2003, Youngest son now about 13 years was sent back to Naija. They were occupying one of the flats on the ground floor, my family was on second floor.
He started jss 2 here and became oga among his classmates and peers with his American accent. My mom and his mom were paddies, so when after a month or so he was still in Nigeria attending a private school, my mom went to ask his mom why is Fineboy still here and going to school here? His mom gave mine the download of his behavior over in USA. And that his dad wanted to show him what privilege he had being there.
At first he was enjoying his time here in Nigeria. Flexing and became the talk of our community. Remember, he went to USA when he was just 6 years, still very young and could hardly remember his time here.
After about a term or so, Nepa not consistent, you need water (borehole wasn't as rampant as it is today) so you must go fetch from the tap, well or call an Aboki to fetch water for you. In fact, I heard the day he came and power was cut, he shouted but with time he started getting used to it, though they had generator. Guy man started getting bored.
He called his dad in USA to apologize, the papa cut line. Begged his dads people, the father warned them never to mention his situation to him again. He endured.
The mother one day called him and spoke sense to him, telling him how they took time to plan for them and moving with him to America just to escape the Nigeria' experience and that he should count himself lucky. By this time guy man has given up and became frustrated. Sharp mouth don blunt, he became extremely reserved and startwd cutting off from many things.
One day he called his father again and truly apologized and meant it. His father called many neighbors if he was saying the truth including us. My mama begged him, my neighbour begged him and some other families he was friends with while he was in Nigeria.
By January of 2006, after about 3 and half years, he was flown back to USA at 16 years. He got there, made good grades, went to the university and today a lawyer.
2015 he came back to Nigeria on his own and came visiting us after we moved out of that neighborhood. Somehow the discussing came up about his last time here in Nigeria. Guy man said, what annoyed him most was when his mother did something and he picked his elder brother's phone to call 911 and it didn't go through. Worst part his mum volunteered to follow him to the police station. On getting there, the police officer almost slapped him for disrespect his mum. It was at that time, he knew he was in a jungle. He came back and reflected his life.

Everytime my cousin, Jason gets chastised by his parents, he calls the cops on them. He tells the cops that they want to end him on top small spanking o.
When he finished basic 6, his parents sent him to Nigeria for the first time to his maternal grandmother. After 2 months, Jason started crying and begging his parents to bring him back to Canada.😂
After much dialogue, Jason returned to Canada to his parents. Once he got to JSS3, he started his usual rebellious behavior.
This time around, they sent him back to Nigeria again and never looked back.
Jason is currently in a university here, studying engineering. 🤣🤣
