@sairaspooks i dunno why people are recommending crimson desert. i love the game but it requires WAY too much thought. i've been replaying zelda tears of the kingdom because i've been wanting the same thing. if you want sci fi, honestly starfield really is skyrim in space. it's relaxing.

in desperate need of turning my brain off and diving into a fantasy game that doesn’t require much thought. considering skyrim again or modding stardew valley but something different would be nice for a change. recommendations greatly appreciated 🧛🏻

This take is wrong. Xbox clearly has a vision, you may hate it, but it exists. Asha Sharma has been pretty clear: - Refocus on underfunded franchises - Rebuild the exclusive pipeline - Cut spending that wasn’t producing a return - Make Xbox more disciplined You can hate that direction, or you can say the execution has been brutal. But that isn’t “no vision,” it’s just a vision you don’t like.

Each studio is its own entity. Sure they are under an umbrella, but if a studio isn’t creating games that bring in enough to cover the expenses of making those games, it’s a loss. The loss affects everyone and then the umbrella company has to rob Peter to pay Paul. At that point it doesn’t make sense to keep bailing out a studio that isn’t performing like the rest. I knew someone who had a building/remodel business. His business failed because when one job would get too expensive or fall behind, he would use funds from other jobs to save it and then all the jobs suffered. Yes, part of it was his fault for expanding too quickly and making those decisions, but part of it was also on the crews not performing or the designers dreaming outside the budget. Similar situation here. Yes, if Microsoft didn’t expand so fast and had fewer studios to manage, it might look different. But, if all the studios were developing at an efficient pace within a stricter budget, things might also look different

@xonebros I loved South of Midnight and I feel bad for people losing their jobs, but the games industry isn’t a charity organization or artsy hippy community. At the end of the day, the games have to sell and make at least enough to cover costs and built for the future 🤷‍♂️
