FINAL: Saint Louis 88, VCU 75. SLU now 25-2. Billikens outscored the Rams 55-33 in the second half. So hard to keep up with this team's pace. Josh Schertz has a NCAA Tournament second-weekend team.

We got really close to a melee as time was expiring after VCU's Nyk Lewis tried for a harmless steal and then got bumped OB by Robbie Avila. Everyone who ran onto the court that wasn't playing got ejected.

@notrobbyboose @wontquit21 @MattNorlander It’s wild but technically the STL Sports Commission is host and at the Enterprise Center downtown - where the Billikens do not play. So very possible.

Here is the media mock bracket if the season ended today (and Miami U had one loss). Note: The NCAA auto-filled the overall seed list from 21-68, with the exception of our bubble cuts. Definitely a couple teams whose seeds wouldn’t bear out like this in reality.

@RossChaifetz not my place to tell you how to use your property BUT Can we please work on having your perfect seats utilized? Give them to deserving students. Give them to a local hospital/local org ANYTHING. It’s crazy to have a sellout with the 4 most visible seats empty.

@TG2point0 This is going to sound crazy - but they got up by so much and so early that it seemed like the crowd went into coast mode for the remainder. Weird energy in there the last 25-30 of the game

I’m not going to lie I feel like I’m always disappointed with the environment at Chaifetz arena. It ain’t quiet by any means but I expect more when you have a team THIS good.

@billiken_bob Sounds like it. They have to fly out of Buffalo to get back home. That's about an hour longer than it takes to get to Bradford, *AND* in the opposite direction. It's now about a 4 hour flight. They're getting home later than planned, into a town bracing for a blizzard...

@RoccSTL Particularly when we are up 8-10 and have turned the ball over consistently, it continues to shock me that he leaves Trey on the bench when he is clearly our most calming presence. But hey - survive and advance on the road!

@PatrickBish Trey's been incredible, and while he doesn't take over as a playmaker, you're right in that he's easier the most responsible of the starters with just 11 on the season

@JackGodar The fact we don't engage with every local high school over Christmas break to offer free tickets to the student body - exposing them to SLU basketball but also the SLU experience - is such an easy, missed opportunity

3. Gotta be strategic with the giveaways. Find ways to do it through local schools and basketball leagues, not just to whoever wants them. Target families and kids

My thoughts on the SLU attendance/tickets stuff: 1. Tickets are probably too expensive. I get that you gotta get revenue to pay players but if that comes at the cost of pricing out a ton of families from SLU games, you’re losing the plot of what college hoops should be

@stlcsb The trash bin in the alley south of 4142 Botanical was moved to a spot that now blocks our property gate as well as the private trash bins in the block. Needs to be moved

@kalidrafts Is there any adjustment included in figures for level of competition. I.e., if someone comes from the horizon vs the MVC, is there an adjustment to help with apples to apples? Maybe this is just true no matter the level?
