When ESPN made its deal for the 12-team CFP, it valued the 4 first-round games at $25M each. To make a 24-team CFP work, the conferences need at least $250M, preferably $500M. Are there networks/streamers willing to pay that much for Nos. 9-24? nytimes.com/athletic/72910…

DePaul and Saint Louis have agreed to a home-and-home series and will first face off on Dec. 12 next season in St. Louis, sources told CBS Sports. SLU will return to Chicago for the 2027-28 season. That's a fascinating home-and-home. @andythompson610 was first on the news.

Diamond Cup planning for two-game event around Thanksgiving in 2027, per sources. If it can grow to a four-game format for '28, Round 1 would be exhibitions, Rd 2 would open the season, Rds 3/4 would surround T'giving to determine a winner, with final day being quadruple-header.

When I heard about the💎🥛my reax was similar to some the replies: Why not on campus? Unfortunately, that's not possible b/c leagues own TV rights to non-con home games. Barring an unprecedented media agreement between those huge companies, it's a no-go. Has to be neutral sites.

After 18 seasons, I will be returning to Florida with two years left to play.
