Our @PeekskillMBK Cooking Club recently had a visit and cooking lesson with Chef Terence Junius Harvey! Harvey has worked on James Beard Award-winning cookbooks, & has appeared on HBO Max, Netflix, and even won an episode of the Food Network's popular cooking game show, Chopped.

Yesterday MBK had the pleasure of welcoming @terencejharvey a renowned Chef and leader in the Culinary Arts. Our young men had the opportunity to learn from the experiences of Chef Terence and better understand the resilience it takes to be successful in perusing their dreams.

“I have a dream.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words continue to remind us that hope, courage, and action can change history. Through My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, that dream lives on through our six milestones and in our MBK Ambassadors across the country who are choosing to lead, serve, and stand up for justice in their communities every day. This MLK Day, we honor Dr. King by uplifting the next generation of leaders who are carrying his legacy forward and turning dreams into action.

@DRMMD2015, administrator for Equity and Diversity for @PeekskillCSD, said she was impressed by the number of students that came out Friday night. “It is wonderful that all of these young people came out to build community and connect. That is what the collective is all about."

@PeekskillMBK scholars and leaders participated in the 10th Annual ACTION Collaborative Network at Ossining High School on 1/13. ACTION was established in 2013 with the belief that excellence in education only exists when it is equitable.
