Congratulations to Peekskill High School student Julian Paute, whose entry, “¡Necesito Pilas!,” was selected for first place in the NYSAFLT Virtual Video Contest! Paute’s entry won in the category of Authentic Speaking Task in the Upper Division.

As LEAP comes to an end this year, we have the honor of blessing our kids with toys to play with at home. Thank you to Mrs. King for her amazing leadership over the Hillcrest LEAP program this year. Thank you to Mrs. Crisci and @MariaOlivierFl1 for all of their work and collaboration to make this program a HUGE success this year.

Our teachers are definitely Out of this World.🌎 They truly bring the light to Hillcrest and shine ⭐️each and everyday. This week they will be traveling ✈️to different countries to celebrate. No passport required for them. Today England 🇬🇧and tomorrow Mexico 🇲🇽

On Friday, our PHS students participated in Law Day at the Peekskill Court. Thank you to the Peekskill NAACP, Peekskill Police, the Westchester Black Bar Association, Judge Trott, and Judge McKenzie for providing this meaningful opportunity for our students to learn & engage.

Last week, our MBK and MSK students each took part in their own 3 day experience at Frost Valley YMCA. From team building to meaningful connections and time in nature, it was an unforgettable opportunity for growth and new opportunities.

We kicked off Staff Appreciation with a thoughtful gift from our PLT in partnership with the PTO, a retractable “P” keychain. We appreciate our PHS staff and our PLT ❤️💙

Last week, our senior class took on Florida for Universal Studios Grad Bash. 4 unforgettable days of laughter, late nights, new friendships, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Memories were made and it was a perfect way to celebrate their journey ❤️💙

5/1 is National College #DecisionDay & what better way to celebrate then by recognizing our Class of 2026 Valedictorian Lenita Esteves & Salutatorian Josh Molina! Next fall, Miss Esteves will attend Princeton University & Mr. Molina will attend Boston University. #Peekskillpride

Our MBK & MSK students took turns visiting a campground in the Catskills this week! Students enjoyed hiking, archery, making campfires & a visit to the campground's observatory. Everyone made memories to last a lifetime! (And will you look at that...not a cell phone in sight!)😁
