It’s actually pathetic how many sorry fanbases will make it their life mission to tear down Bouchard’s game. They are upset about their own general lack of success and take it out on him People post clips of literally any goal where he may be slightly at fault because they always go viral. It used to be actual mistakes now it’s just whenever he’s on the ice for a GA But they will be silent when any other defensemen does those same things. Really sad behaviour

If Bouchard over commits to the puck carrier here and he hits the pass to the trailing guy everyone roasts him all the same. Bouchard's job isn't too go diving across the ice to steal the puck it's go take away the pass and cut off a move across the crease.

@TopTierPucks Thank you! It's his job in this situation to ensure there's nobody breaking down the other side, cut off any pass across, keep the puck out of the slot, and give the goalie a clear view of the shot. He did everything right here.
