@SonicSpeeds17 @ColtonBaxter17 @HotTakeHockey Panarin never played with an elite forward after his first 2 seasons. He was regularly outscoring his entire team by 20-30 points. Put him next to Matthews and he would clean house. But yah will be a fun player to watch mature

@ericwolf3784 @ColtonBaxter17 @HotTakeHockey I mean like I think mckenna could hit 100 points more often then panarin did like he was usually a 85-95 point guy aside from the 120 year I think mckenna could be a consistent 100 point scorer I think panarin is a good comp tho

@SonicSpeeds17 @ColtonBaxter17 @HotTakeHockey Think youre underrating Panarin but sure. Just have to see if he hits that ceiling. Fine line between reaching that or being a Necas or Barzal, not that there anything wrong with those guys.

When Canadians sing “We stand on guard for thee” — I think Canadians mean it. And I hope that’s what we can leave this meeting committing to, as premiers, in this crucial moment for our country.

@RampCapitalLLC From what ive read tomatillos only pollinate from other tomatillos, so you might be SOL with only 1. Worth buying another though. You can easily get well over 100 fruit from a single plant. Shit makes you feel like Martha Stuart

2026 Ramp Garden Thread: Running it back again. Every year I become slightly more convinced growing your own food is one of the most rewarding hobbies you can have. It blends science and creativity, slows your brain down and forces patience, connects you with nature and gives you visible proof of effort (seed to table). Once again, I’ll be tracking the entire gardening season on this thread from seed starting, raised beds, harvests, mistakes, upgrades, and all the random things I learn along the way. Bookmark and follow along if you’re into gardening or thinking about starting your own.

@CRUDEOIL231 All Iran has to do is two things: 1 make themselves as expensive to kill as possible 2 burn as much time as possible They are doing both. I think it's more likely than not that Trump resumes the kinetic conflict.

Right, the clock is ticking for the Chinese teapots and Iran, but Trump is the one on a real deadline. Once Iran realizes time is on their side, the playbook is simple: just stall. That's the whole game. They know that down the road, Trump will be on his knees like a dog, ready to give them whatever the hell they want. The strategy right now is relying on time to compel Trump to accept the very things he currently refuses to entertain. Every single tick of the clock works to their advantage. They will push Trump to the brink, running him out of time until he completely folds to Iran's ridiculous conditions. Trump is frantically chasing a negotiation, but Iran is playing hard to get and running out the clock. Why rush when waiting guarantees them a massive jackpot later? We all remember Trump’s absolute trashing of Obama over the JCPOA, don’t we? Man, watching him eat his own words down the road is going to be pure comedy. We’ve reached a crossroads. Either strip down and do a striptease for your master or summon the courage to fight back. It's time to decide. I can understand where the patriots are coming from, but the US is losing this war. That is an undeniable fact. #oott #iran

So funny when people are bothered by Marner.. Leafs fans shouldn't care. Good for Mitch.. it wasn't going to happen in Toronto. If Mitch doesn't leave, there is no Gavin McKenna in Toronto. People can say whatever they want… just wait for the McKenna/Matthews show in the NHL

I've calculated that if we removed the words "Fort" and "Port" from Canadian place names we'd save $1,100 a year and GDP would go up by 0.0015 per cent.

@davedubbin85 Hawks need a wingman for Bedard more than they need more assets. Like SJ, the only way i can see them trading down is for a roster player which we dont have

#flames most likely at 6: Carels, Bjork, Verhoeff. Don’t sleep on them drafting 4th if a winger falls. Hawks would get multiple assets, plus a guy like Smits at 6.

The best interest of America today, when it comes to expansion, is very simple: 1. SKIM THE CREAM: Recruit the smartest and most driven 1-3m people on the planet every year; < 1% of our population. They create companies and jobs, while taking that economic growth away from our rivals. 2. POWER THROUGH SHORTAGES: Allow for a modest number of worker visas based on our acute needs and an immigrant's willingness to assimilate (as seen in, say, learning to speak English before arriving). This is probably 100-500k a year on average… healthcare, agriculture etc. 3. STRATEGIC IMMIGRANTS: Allow dissidents and refugees when politically advantageous (ie from rivals) And of course cut off all illegal immigration to accomplish this.
Geiger Capital@Geiger_Capital

Before Hart-Celler in 1965 our nation's immigration system was severely restrictive with varying national quotas. Immigrants from many countries were outright banned. It was almost exclusively Europeans because the men before us wanted to preserve our own ethnic homogeneity, demographics, culture and social cohesion. They prioritized our nation and the economic interests of American workers instead of the feelings of weak men and cheap foreign labor. The last few decades of third-world mass immigration has not been in our nation's interest.

@mattgurney Fair enough, but its a democratic position brought on by 150 years of poor policy towards the west and youre talking like its unfounded and baseless. It just comes across as disingenuous from an alt-media outlet that we would hope to be something other than a govt mouthpiece

Alberta separatism is constitutional: Reference re Secession of Quebec [1998] 2 SCR 217. Here is the link: decisions.scc-csc.ca/scc-csc/scc-cs… Note also the comments of the Supreme Court of Canada acknowledging the fact of unilateral secession: paragraph 155. Obviously, Alberta can separate. But that's not the point. Rather, the question is why do a portion of Albertans want to separate? The broad answer is because Canada has problems including a broken constitution and very poor federal management since 2015. Generally speaking, well run nations with good constitutions don't have separatist movements of any consequence. In my view, Canadian nationalism is best served by running Canada properly such that Albertans want to stay in Canada. This is not rocket science.

What Alberta Separatism would actually look like even if it was possible constitutionally (which it isn’t): 1. Oil sands would almost entirely remain in Canada along with all Treaty 8 territory. I would love for someone to explain how any other result is even possible (it isn’t). 2. Upwards of 20 percent of the population would leave immediately, most of these being educated professionals from urban/suburban areas. 3. The remaining “Albertans” would be left to scratch together a military, a pension system, a diplomatic settlement ice and international agreements, and thousands other things the federal government already does and pays for. 4. Chaos, cronyism, and fighting over the scraps. Everyone who can leave will leave. 5. Then would come the clambering to return to the edenic garden of Canada and people pretending to have never supported separation in the first place.

@mattgurney The article does nothing to explain why democracy shouldnt take place. If its a bad policy (which i agree it is at this time) than dispute it with good policy. Win the populace over with your vision for a united Canada like our country was built on.

@Prominent_Bryan Canadian trucks traveling coast-to-coast travel through the US prairies much more frequently than the Canadian prairies. Because of several factors, the most efficient and common route drops down into the US Midwest. 😜

Surely if Alberta were independent, they could just negotiate access to the Pacific by threatening to block trucks going from BC to Saskatchewan? Like I don't get how the landlocked argument is used so often. Alberta would have some leverage
