@RobScanlan @PolyesterUnis @Padres Those Cito Gaston team batting records did not last long once Winfield came aboard. Would have been interesting seeing if Winfield could have been a 2-way player at the time.
English

@PolyesterUnis @Padres 3 HOFers. Dave Winfield, Rollie Fingers and Ozzie. Not seeing Ozzie in the pic though. And the recently deceased, the late great Cy Young winner Mr. Randy Jones.

@CardPurchaser found another el cheapo. Pete Rose 1986 O-Pee-Chee card #1. Only 246 of these graded by PSA compared to its Topps total of 3,073. #1 card of OPC sets are somewhat undervalued imo - they're rare anyway and most likely to be damaged.

@darrenrovell I wonder what the bidding war was like with OE 800 and Colt 45?
English

@ByTimReynolds In other words, there is an expectation of clustering. That is what gives away the cause.
English

@ByTimReynolds Lots of NBA games have 20+ point leads. Then comes the comeback. That is sustainable for only so long. The numbers caught up with the NBA on these two days. The underlying problem has went on for years. Same games as before, just no big comebacks.
English

@ByTimReynolds I don't think it's that different from the norm. Just the big comebacks are missing. Most of the problem is there every game.
English

@throwaway5366 @CardPurchaser Those old slabs from 20 years ago that get so much grief will be today's slabs in 20 years.
English

@CardPurchaser i feel like the only person in the world who doesn't grade any of his cards. anybody else doesn't as well? i just have zero desire
English

@CodifyBaseball @JomboyMedia Usually, but also depends where the throw after the catch is needing to go/ who's throwing it.
English

@JomboyMedia Should the centerfielder have right-of-way on any ball he can get to?
English

@the27guy I would go with the 9 because of the lower population count and not a ton of 10's.
English

@CardPurchaser Dave Winfield 1982 Topps Blackless. Winfield would have been an interesting 2-way baseball player.

@yanxchick Exclusive licenses have never been good for the consumer.

@TheDunkCentral His team is always the more tired after games. It has went on for years, way back to the Clippers.

Doc Rivers believes injuries, Giannis trade rumors, and having only one star player derailed the Bucks’ season
“Since I’ve been here, I haven’t had a healthy stretch and it’s been your key guys. It’s been Giannis. It’s been Dame [Lillard] ... This year, having only one quote-unquote star, every other team has two and three. We needed health. We were thin ... All the talk [around Giannis] and all that stuff probably didn’t help either.”
