Sunday, June 7 is locked in. Xbox Games Showcase 2026 is almost here with a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day Direct. In my first month, I heard clearly that our community values Xbox FanFest. As part of the return of Xbox, we made the decision to bring it back to LA to recognize the players who’ve been with us over the years. Looking forward to celebrating together!

Gaming community is a bunch of addicts that will do anything for the daily dosage of entertainment. I’m not excluding myself from it since I have been part of it since 1992. When/if gamers can hold off on constant social media pressure and constant need of the best/newest things, we might be able to make a difference.

When was the last time the gaming industry fucked us over and gamers actually stood up against it? They raised console prices, we did nothing. They raised game prices, we did nothing. They raised subscription prices, and we did nothing.

@JavaidUsama One thing people need to consider as well is cost of Ps plus ( which might go up again soon) I have been paying for ps plus since 2014( when ps4 required it to play online) that is $840 on top of everything ( I did pay for premium for 2 years so realistically$1000).

Instead of paying $1200 for a PS5 Pro with a disk drive, you might as well just pay $1400 for a RTX 5060 Ti pre-built.... Like, how did it get so bad that now it's becoming more economically viable to just get a PC...

My only reason to have PS was Uncharted, GoW, and some OG PS exclusives back in 2008-2016. Now that every single PS game is some woke shit and completely changed the formula (GoW for example) I don’t have a reason to be loyal to them. After 16 years, I’m going to switch back to PC.

@Nitroid I’m on board with you on that. To make sure I don’t come back I’m going to close my PS account of 16 years and forget about it all. I’m ready to make the switch to PC or completely give up on gaming. Too much of my time/money has been wasted on gaming.

Sadly, this will likely the be the last generation of PlayStation that I opt into. I've been on board since the PS1, but with rising costs, mandatory subscriptions, and a lack of meaningful incentives (seriously, still no backwards compatibility?), there's just no value left.
