Shot in the dark, does anyone happen to have one (or more) of the E3 Show Daily booklets from 1999? They may contain some information on Metal Gear Solid for the Tiger GameCom.

This is the beginning of the end of the AI luddite movement and it’s long overdue. AI is a generational productivity tool for all fields, and companies whose decisions get co-opted by AI haters will become entirely unviable as competition whizzes by with better products.

The irony is that I'm not even very anti-AI when it comes to coding. I just acknowledge that it's an extremely disruptive (and potentially dangerous) tool that should be handled with far more discretion, and that people with legitimate worries shouldn't be insulted or ignored.

It's concerning that replies to this consist mostly of "adapt or die".

@Nitroid @JackMelloJake @PlayStation My point is no video game has a renewal date. Everytime a tv show or movie is added to a streaming service it has a renewal date set before it’s even live on the service. That is not how video games work.

It’s a symptom of a larger problem, which is a total lack of ownership and agency. Customers shouldn’t be subject to the whims of the seller after the point of sale.

@TanviPa36388395 @PlayStation Yep, that’s not good either. If games are distributed as licenses and have DRM, there’s no de facto ownership. That said, PCs are an open platform and DRM isn’t mandated on Steam (though it is often opted for). Alternatively, GOG is a great (if somewhat limited) alternative.
