@ReturnofColin2 I've seen it so many times but I like the atmosphere of the times in which the movie was set. The film is much better and more interesting and engaging than the original M.R. James story - as with a lot of other such dramatisations of his work.

The Islamists really don't care if women/children/civilians get killed - it means nothing to them except as useful propaganda. Just bear these things in mind and don't judge events that take place either in Gaza, or in Iran by your own standards. Don't believe propaganda generated by Islamists, though they will do their best to get you on side. They don't care about you - you are just Useful Idiots to them. Just totally ignore them and leave them to it.

Starmer is a spineless, insipid pacifist. He can't do anything useful - he certainly can't defend the UK in any military sense. All he can do is travel to different places and have meetings - with no UK purpose at all. He doesn't even believe in UK sovereignty and would much rather be subsumed by the EU. All in all, he's weak and useless!

I don't rush to the defence of Trump - I've always supported him, and I hope he can get the job done in Iran. I do think he underestimated the regime's death cult psychology and that they wouldn't surrender. It will be up to the majority anti-regime Iranians to take back control from the regime, if they can. That probably won't happen until active hostilities with the USA cease and the Iranian people will have the backing of Israel. I hope you can get over your Trump Derangement Syndrome, though that seems unlikely.

Trump's actions contributed directly to the defeat of right-wing parties in general elections in Australia and Canada. Outside the US, he is very unpopular. That is a fact that the people at the top of Reform might like to consider.
