🇩🇪 supports 🇱🇧 in providing assistance to internally displaced people. @AussenMinDE has announced almost 200 M € in humanitarian assistance for the region in recent days. On Tuesday @PlanIntLebanon and @SheildAssoc distributed 500 food parcels to people in need in #Tyre.

On #InternationalWomenDay, we stand in solidarity with women who continue to carry the weight of crisis & conflict. In the face of displacement, uncertainty & ongoing emergencies, their strength, courage, & resilience remain a powerful force for their families, their communities.

Since hostilities escalated on 2 March, thousands of families across Lebanon have once again been forced to flee their homes, often with little warning. Plan International Lebanon has scaled up its response to support displaced children and families with life-saving assistance.

“I am drawing my future.” – Abdel Salam Once, work filled his days. Today, school, safety, and dreams are taking shape instead. Abdel Salam’s story reminds us that education gives children back their childhood — and their future. ACCESS project is funded by the European Regional Development and Protection Programme (RDPP III), implemented by RMF in partnership with Plan International Lebanon.

We are proud of our partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Since October 2021, SDC has been supporting Plan International Lebanon’s Wosoul project, contributing to improved access to quality education for children in North Bekaa.

منذ ٢٠١٧، تضع بلان إنترناشونال التعليم في صميم عملها في لبنان. نفّذنا ١٧ مشروعًا تعليميًا دعمنا من خلالها أكثر من ٣٣،٠٠٠ طفل/ة في مختلف المناطق. وفي #اليوم_العالمي_للتعليم، نجدد التزامنا بتعليم شامل، آمن، وعادل.. "لأن التعليم حق لا يُؤجَّل"

This training followed PSS and positive parenting sessions for mothers of children engaged in child labour. By gaining employable skills, these women were able to support their families and withdraw their children from work, marking a key step in combating child labour.

Today we celebrate the graduation of 19 dedicated women who successfully completed a 15-day competency-based training in dessert making under the ACCESS Project, funded by @RDPPME and implemented in partnership with @RMFLebanon.

جاء هذا التدريب استكمالًا لجلسات الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي والتربية الإيجابية لأمهات الأطفال المنخرطين في عمل الأطفال، بما في ذلك أسوأ أشكاله. ومع اكتساب هذه المهارات والاستعداد لدخول سوق العمل، تمكّنّ من إعالة أسرهن وسحب أطفالهن من العمل، في خطوة محورية نحو #مكافحة_عمالة_الأطفال.

اليوم نحتفل بتخرّج 19 امرأة شاركن بنجاح في تدريب قائم على الكفاءات لمدة 15 يومًا في مجال إعداد الحلويات، وذلك ضمن مشروع ACCESS المموّل من البرنامج الإقليمي للتنمية والحماية (@RDPPME) والمنفّذ بالشراكة مع مؤسسة رينه معوّض (@RMFLebanon).

With partners & led by the @laborministrylb, the @iloarabstates is supporting efforts to tackle the worst forms of child labour in Lebanon’s agricultural fields—protecting children, supporting families, and strengthening systems through the @DutchMFA-led #PROSPECTSpartnership.

This project is implemented in partnership with SHEILD Association @SheildAssoc and Nabad for Development @Nabad4dev.

Through playback theatre, paintings, and video testimonies from the field, the event showcased the impact of humanitarian assistance in meeting basic needs, providing psychosocial support, and strengthening case management to keep children safe.

Sometimes, going back to the past means reliving moments that help us heal. Last week, we created space to listen to real human stories shaped by crisis, as part of the Lifesaving and Protection Support Program, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.

This is the inspiring story of Nagham, a brave little girl who, with the support of her teacher and the dedicated “Back to the Future” team, overcame daily challenges to join the BLN program. Funded by @eu_echo Implemented by @AVSIMiddleEast @tdhitalylebanon and @PlanIntLebanon

Together with Plan International Lebanon and the European Regional Development and Protection Program for Jordan and Lebanon (RDPP III), we stand united in the belief that every child has the right to grow up free from violation, fear, and harm. We remain committed to raising awareness among children, especially those at risk of, or already engaged in, the worst forms of child labour, helping them understand their personal boundaries, recognize their rights, and confidently speak up to protect themselves. As we observe the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence, we reaffirm our responsibility to end all forms of harm against children and to create environments where they are safe, supported, and able to heal. #EndChildAbuse #RMF #EndChildSexAbuseDay
