@HHepplewhite @ChestneyS The problem with the PPE is that IF we’d had enough in hand for a pandemic much of it appeared to have a shelf life & would have been destroyed periodically because of that. Anyone doing a FOI would accuse the govt of wasting resources and press have a field day.

If I were PM 🤣 The first job I would do to help solve the NHS issue. Would be to develop a group of independent auditors with company turnaround experience. Go into each one of them spend however long it takes and do a detailed investigation. Come up with a detailed plan where and how to get better productivity, save money, pinpoint areas which need improvement and lose all the bloody waste which we know exists. It has to be ran properly. BEFORE continuing to throw bloody money at it.

@HHepplewhite 100% right. It is startlingly wasteful and in many ways badly managed. We all rely on the NHS but appointment system & agency recruitment are where I’d start for a nice return on that audit.

This was blown out of proportion but typically H&M will go back for a second go to justify, now they have the negatives.

In 1986, 22-year-old flight attendant Neerja Bhanot was on duty during Pan Am Flight 73 when terrorists hijacked it. One Indian-American passenger was swiftly killed by the hijackers, who then asked Bhanot to gather all passengers' passports to identify the Americans. Defying their orders, Bhanot hid 43 American passengers' passports, some under seats and others in the trash. After 17 grueling hours, the terrorists started setting off explosives and shooting. Bhanot, instead of escaping, opened the airplane doors and guided passengers to safety. In the process, she lost her life while protecting three American children from gunfire. One of the children she shielded, only seven at the time, later became an airline captain. He credited Bhanot as his inspiration.

@arghavan_salles You take a risk staying in unregulated accommodation. Some air bnb are good clearly, but turning up at a house (shared sometimes) with strangers just seems like a risk. Hoteliers have so many H&S, environmental checks, fire risk assessments, insurance hence costs, staff on hand
