This and changing your number when you move countries with only maximum 10 people being informed about it: elite experience.

Turning off your WhatsApp notifications to see messages only when you open the app is a crazy level of isolation fr.

How my friends initially had to make effort with me before i retracted my claws. Major respect.

@kashafasim The choice of roads that you were making on the hike would definitely kill you sooner 😏

And anyways - Every group needs one person asking the real questions, like ‘why are we doing this?

still failing thanks to @Pra5hu, because according to him, ‘main nahe jaraha tumharay saath, aadhay rastay tumhi ko utha ke chalna parray ga.’

@Pra5hu @Xeon4f145d96s1 Yes, I really think you should stop posting because otherwise people will (unfairly IMO) think most IMGs have the same entitled views as you.
English

@Xeon4f145d96s1 By promise i meant giving them a equal chance at training! The IMGs that have gotten into training with a equal chance to a BMG have done so on merit. And thats what we are asking for now. Yes the PLABs need to be closed, but not the ones that have passed it should be considered

@IMGcontinental @makanjuolaoa Best one line tweet i have seen describing the current course of actions that have been taken!!

Celebrate IMGs one week, shut the door on them the next. The hypocrisy is exhausting!

Today, we celebrate #OverseasNHSWorkersDay and honour the invaluable contributions of International Medical Graduates (IMGs). With over 130,000 IMGs in the UK, making up 41% of the workforce, IMGs are essential in healthcare delivery and providing expert care to patients across the UK. bma.org.uk/advice-and-sup…

@DrMohitBhagia Thanks for the reply @DrMohitBhagia ! Really appreciate it. Could i maybe send you a DM? Am stuck in a similar situation and wanted a small advice- if that’s okay with you. Thanks again doc!

Even IF the policy does pass, it is very difficult to predict when it will become law and come into effect.
IF it becomes BMA policy (and it is not currently - it is only RDC policy), they will still have to petition the Government and negotiate with them to implement it.
*To all future IMGs:*
If you've done the PLABs already, continue the job hunt / take the jobs if they have been offered to you. We cannot predict the future.
If you are still considering the PLAB pathway and haven't started, I would personally advocate not to do it. The bottlenecks for non-training jobs (junior level resident) are not insignificant.
Having to submit 1000+ applications on average for a SHO level job is not normal, it is a manufactured shortage despite chronic understaffing due to systemic NHS issues such as inadequate funding, rollout of PAs/MAPs, etc.
If you really want to come to the UK only and go nowhere else, complete your home country residency + Royal College exams and come here at the registrar (middle grade) level.
English

@DrMohitBhagia Dr. Bhagia- in your opinion when is the policy likely to be implemented? Asking this because the IMG doctors getting new jobs right now are literally stuck in deep state of limbo as to accepting the job or not.
Any help and response would be greatly appreciated & help lots of IMG

@DrSelvarajah @DrLukeCraddock Absolutely. Well said, @DrSelvarajah !
I firmly believe in and stand by advocacy without discrimination (regardless of whether insight into it is present or not).
