With ICE agents allegedly deploying to TSA checkpoints tomorrow, border czar Tom Homan confirmed & told @CNN: -plan is still being put together today -“what airports we’re starting with and where we’re sending them” still up in the air -highlights airports with worst waiting times as likely starting point -suggests ICE could be stationed at entry/exit points to free up trained TSA agents for more onerous/specialized tasks -“I don’t see an ICE agent looking at an X-Ray machine, because they’re not trained in that.”

(Reuters) - Iran will completely shut the strategic Strait of Hormuz if U.S. President Trump executes threats to target Iranian energy facilities, the country's Revolutionary Guards said in a statement on Sunday. Trump on Saturday threatened to "obliterate" Iran's power plants if Tehran did not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48-hours, suggesting a significant escalation barely a day after he talked about "winding down" the war, now in its fourth week. In their Sunday statement Iran's Revolutionary Guards also said companies with U.S. shares will be 'completely destroyed', if Iranian energy facilities were targeted by Washington and energy facilities in countries that host U.S. bases will be 'lawful' targets.

Democrats are holding up DHS funding to push for ICE changes. Dems keep offering to pass standalone TSA funding, but rather than take “yes” for an answer Trump wants to pull ICE off the streets and put them into airports — thus giving Dems the ICE pullback they want!

Steve's 🧵is on the money. Dems have offered repeatedly to fund TSA - but GOP has refused. Usually, the party forcing the shutdown would crack (like we saw last fall), but post-Alex Pretti's killing, there is no evidence of that among Dems.
