@Marston1889 No I don't think it is a lie. They use those planes to land without a run way. If they didn't know the sand was not going to support it then this could happen easy. I have road into lots of places with them in Germany and no sand no problem.

They also lost a little bird helicopter in the same location which makes that story even less believable.
