Both players were pushing for guaranteed minutes at Manchester United. They wanted to be treated as undisputed starters. But now they’re settling for far less at their new clubs without the same noise. That’s why Ruben Amorim deserves credit. He didn’t give in to the attitude, refused to keep players who expected places without earning them, and ultimately moved them on. It wasn’t the easy decision, but it helped reset standards of the club today. No matter who the manager will be next season this standard has to continue and no one needs to be a guaranteed starter without earning the spot in the starting lineup. #MUFC
