Our research highlights the significant cost and HRQoL losses associated with RSV. These findings can help quantify the disease burden of RSV and inform future decision-making regarding interventions to protect young children from this disease.

The choice between a maternal immunization or monoclonal antibodies depends on the level and duration of protection, price, availability and age-specific RSV-attributable hospitalizations in very young children, which should be based on the latest available evidence.
