This is not happening. If Sony made $2.4b on Steam, they would make significantly less putting games on PC less Steam (and presumably less GOG, EGS as well). Not paying Steam that 30% would not make up the loss of volume sales.

@BlooHook Yeah Sony will delist their games, which have all been cracked btw due to no proper DRM, so that they no longer make any profit from them, and instead push people into just downloading them for free. Makes sense.

@NintyPrime I guess the level of harassment they received over this was much greater than anything related to the Switch 2 coverage. They mention even receiving death threats. Which is just wild.

While I think their video on it missed some consumer concerns, I wouldn’t expect them to walk it back. It’s their opinions. They didn’t walk back any of what they said about switch 2 before they ever touched it. This was despite them laughing at even the idea it could ever do ray tracing, or that DLSS on it will be a big deal. Fast forward and we have entire AAA games with Ray Tracing (Star Wars outlaws), and a bunch of games looking better than they should due to DLSS. They were wrong but never walked back those opinions. So why walk back this one? If you liked it, you liked it. I’d rather you stand your ground than react to the internet mob, especially when it’s opinion based. On the switch 2 you were just factually wrong and never apologized, on this, it’d just a personal thing on if you liked the demos or not.

You were showcasing the technology based on the demo you were presented with. Even though I didn't agree with all the opinions you had, they were still YOUR opinions and I appreciated the insight. You shouldn't have to wait & see how the average consumer feels before forming YOUR thoughts... Also... To the people harassing & sending death threats over this... That's insane. @PeterP_1985 @evans_nj I have a gaming pc with a 4070 and it cost me near 3k to build and this is way before the ram situation you can’t get near ps5 pro performance unless you running 50 series and up trust when I say that I gotta keep changing settings from high to med in order to get reflections etc

Bought PS5 Pro last November. Have not played a great deal beyond Astrobot and Resi Requiem, but have a nice collection of games I want to play on it. Waiting to purchase the Pro, and play these games, has proven to be a wise choice. Will experience first with PSSR2 which to my eye, is doing a great job, on par with pre Transformer model DLSS #PS5Pro @PlayStationUK @PlayStation

Checked out Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth with PSSR2. This is a game that had very little extra on PC over the console version. Slightly better draw distance and far geometry detail, slightly better lighting but MUCH better image quality with DLSS. PSSR2 brings the PS5 Pro version much closer to PC, close enough in this game that I would call it a comparable experience given the otherwise modest PC version upgrades. Excellent stuff!!
