Dr. Garton has been my neurosurgeon since the day I was born. He’s operated on my spine and untethered my spinal cord many times. When I was little, my parents were told I would probably never walk. But Dr. Garton never stopped fighting for me and neither did my parents. Because of that, I took my first steps when I was 9 years old. Today I can walk (with the occasional help of my wheelchair when I need it). Today I had a clinic appointment at Mott, and we recreated a picture of us from when I was 10 years old. Same doctor, same patient, just a few more years, a lot more gratitude. It was a really good day. Grateful for the doctor who helped change my life. @motthosp
