I spoke against H. 4763, the “HALO Act,” which would put citizens in jail if they exercise their 1st Amendment rights. This bill is unnecessary and unconstitutional. The 25 feet standard is arbitrary and it will lead to innocent people getting arrested.

As South Carolina honored Rev. Jesse Jackson, people waited in line for up to an hour and a half to pay their respects. It was important to Megan and me that Teagan be here, so that one day he can look back and remember the life and legacy of a true American hero.
